Our Story
Founded in 1986, IMEX was created after spotting a gap in the market: to supply high-quality truck and engine parts directly to customers at a keener price than the competition.
From those early beginnings, IMEX quickly expanded its expertise and buying power to cover all major truck brands as well as engine parts for cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles.
Over the decades, IMEX became a recognised leader in replacement truck parts for Mercedes, Volvo, Scania, DAF, Renault, MAN, and Iveco. Our comprehensive engine parts range includes many premium brands such as Mahle, TRW, King Bearings, and Victor Reinz, cementing our reputation for quality and reliability.
Today, our team of over 70 dedicated experts operates from 45,000 sq ft of warehouse space with strategically located depots across the UK. Our scale and efficiency have allowed us to offer one of the widest and most sought-after ranges of truck and all-make engine parts in the UK.
From IMEX to UPG UK & Ireland
A major milestone in our story came with our acquisition by Universal Parts Group (UPG) – a global automotive powerhouse with a growing international footprint.
UPG’s head office and world-class facility in Witfield, Boksburg (Johannesburg, South Africa) supports a global network, strengthening our resources, supply chain, and product offering.
Over the past two years, we’ve worked hard to restructure, streamline, and strengthen our operations, ensuring we can deliver better service and more value to truck motor factors.
Now, we’re taking the next step in our journey.
